"Reflection for Transition – Towards Online Assessment for Learning"

Avivit Arvatz is a cognitive psychologist. Her MA thesis detected the development of automaticity in numeric cognition processes (ordinality and cardinality). She is a psychometrician who developed various methods and tools of testing and evaluating different aspects of human behaviors. She used to be a team member and a manger of large-scale examinations development and administration. She is also a social sciences high school teacher, and worked in centers of professional development of teachers.

Avivit is a social and educational entrepreneur, and is the owner of AB Altedu, which specializes in pedagogical innovation and technology in education.

Avivit Arvatz completed her Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Yehudit Dori in 2024. The topic of her doctoral dissertation: “Fostering and Assessing Teachers’ and Students’ Self-Regulated Learning through Reflective Prompts”. In her research, Avivit focused on using reflection as a tool for developing and promoting learning, assessment, and data collection in various contexts. During her studies, Avivit presented her research at two international conferences and participated in a seminar for outstanding doctoral students of the ESERA Association.

Since 2024, Avivit is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Center for Teacher Education and Learning Research, at the Seymour Fox School of Education at the Hebrew University.
She resides in the south of Israel with her husband and their three lovely children.
