Dr. Amona Abu-Younis Ali holds a B.Sc degree in Chemistry, M.A. and Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry, from the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Natural Products, School of Pharmacy, Hebrew University, Jerusalem. Dr. Abu-Younis-Ali also holds a B.Sc Summa Cum Laude in Education (Chemistry) form the Faculty of Education in Science and Technology, Technion.
Her doctoral research focused on the synthesis, biological properties in anticancer therapy of novel Non-Natural Sphingolipid Analogues. During her Post-doctoral position at prof. Zeev Gross lab, Schulich Faculty of Chemistry, Technion, she researched the crystallization of Metallated Amphipolar Corroles conjugated to serum Albumin.
As from 2013, Dr. Abu-Younis Ali is a Lecturer in organic chemistry courses and a supervisor of final technological projects for engineering students at the Biotechnology Department, Ort Braude Collage, Karmiel.
As from the 2017, she serves as a director of the National Teaching Center for Technological Professions More-tech, Technion.
