"Choice and persistence of female and male participants in the FIRST program in STEM studies and career: The gender perspective"

Shani Goldstein is a doctoral student at the Technion from 2022, in the Faculty of Education in Science and Technology. The subject of her research is the choice and persistence of female and male participants in the FIRST robotics program, in studies and in a scientific-engineering-mathematical career with emphasis on gender aspect.

In 2004 she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in science teaching with a teaching certificate (B.Sc.) at the Faculty of Science and Teaching in the University of Haifa. She completed her master’s degree from the University of Haifa in 2020 (as the dean’s honoree for advanced studies) majoring in technologies in education.

In recent years, Shani has been engaged in a variety of positions related to the training and professional development of teachers. Shani also teaches science at Ort Dafna Middle School.
